Sophie Coignat

Sophie COIGNAT handles mergers and acquisitions and private equity and has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. She advises French and international companies, including listed companies, as well as entrepreneurs, investors or institutions in their investments and divestments as well as on all corporate law issues (equity restructuring, shareholders relations, etc.). She also has a broad experience of stock exchange and financial markets regulations, in particular regarding corporate governance of public companies and market abuse prevention.
Sophie advises clients both in France and abroad and has extensive experience in cross-border transactions, particularly in the EMEA zone and the United States.
A member of the Paris and New York Bars, Sophie has been a partner at DELCADE since 2016 after spending more than twelve years in major international law firms such as Latham & Watkins LLP and Simmons & Simmons LLP. She is the office manager of the Bordeaux office.
Sophie graduated from NYU Law School, Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV and Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Outside the firm, Sophie teaches Anglo-American contract law at Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV.
