Jean-François Guillot is a partner in the DELCADE’s IP/IT team, he has focused his activity on patents and IP litigation, in particular in complex disputes with an international dimension, for more than twenty years. Jean-François works for French and international clients in different areas of industry, including life sciences, medical devices, luxury, consumer products, beverages, automotive, mechanics, energy, computing, electronics and telecommunications.

He regularly represents his clients in disputes concerning not only invention patents, but also trademarks, corporate or trade names, domain names, designs and models, copyright, trade secrets and confidentiality agreements, and unfair competition. His experience also covers consulting, including the drafting and negotiation of technology transfer, assignment, licensing or coexistence contracts, and the audit of intellectual property rights portfolios.

A member of the Paris and New York Bars, and a registered specialist in intellectual property law, new technologies and communication law, Jean-François holds a DESS in industrial property and a DEA in general private law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and a LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law. Before joining DELCADE in February 2024, Jean-François practiced industrial and intellectual property law within large French and international firms, including Oppenheimer Wollf & Donnelly, Howrey LLP, Hoyng ROKH Monégier and Amar Goussu Staub, and created his own firm. Jean-François is a member of several professional associations, including the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), the Association of European Patent Practitioners (APEB), the Licensing Executive Society (LES), and the French American Bar Association (FABA).
